So........ the Layton Park Ward has a new Enrichment Leader, Shirlene Rogers (that's me), and I have some (hopefully) fun ideas for us. One of which is a ward Relief Society Blog. All sisters who want will be able to access this blog and post things that they find would be beneficial to other sisters in the ward or you can give your ideas to me and I will post them. I.E. good sales on clothing, groceries, food storage items, etc. I have access to some great deals through my connections in Arizona (my sister) and I have shared with some you but I am not always able to call everyone so hopefully this will help.
I am working on the mini classes and trying to get them started up again, along with getting with my committee to plan our Ghouls Night Out on October 15, 2009 as well as our Super Saturday on November 14, 2009. I am looking forward to serving you sisters and I am hoping you are excited as well.
I love the Relief Society. My first calling, at age 19, was chorister in Relief Society and what memories I have of that time in my life. Standing in the front of the room with so many warm smiling and friendly faces looking up at me, how could I not enjoy that. Some of those faces are not around anymore but they will always have a special place in my heart. I love the sisters in our ward and I truly think you are all awesome.

Hello great sisters!! I am excited for this blog and for all the exciting stuff that will be happening in RS!! I have been asked to be in charge of girls night out and I'm excited for this. It will be fun to get together with other sisters once a month and have a good laugh!! If any of you have any great ideas on what you would like to do, please let us know!!
